Dear Sir/Madame,
Under art. 13 of D.L. 196 of June 30 2003 (i.e. "Privacy
Code of Conduct"), Starhotels S.p.A. wishes to inform you that your
personal data will be treated in absolute respect of your
fundamental rights and freedom with special reference to the norm
concerning the protection of your privacy, personal identity
and right to data protection and in any case in compliance with the
minimum safety measures required by law.
In this connection we inform you that the treatment of your
personal data will be implemented to fulfil the following
requirements:
a) performance of connected and consequent hotel services and
operations
b) fulfilment of all fiscal, accounting and similar obbligations
required by law
Please note that the provision of data for the above mentioned purposes is optional; however, should you refuse to supply them, Starhotels S.p.A. might be unable to perform the services you requested.
Your data may be treated both with electronic/computer systems, as well as with paper supports but in any case in total respect of the minimum security measures and will be saved for the time strictly necessary for the above mentioned purposes.

At any time you are authorized to exercise your rights under
article 7 of D.Lgs. 196/2003, that is you will be able to obtain
confirmation of the existence or not of personal data concerning
you, even if not yet recorded and request that they be communicated
to you in clearly comprehensible form.You will furthermore have the
right to obtain indication of: a) origin of the personal data; b)
purpose and treatment method c) logic applied in case of treatment
implemented with electronic instruments; d) identification of the
person in charge, the people responsible for the handling and the
representative designated under art.5, paragraph 2; e)
identification of the subjects or categories to whom the personal
data can be communicated or who might learn about them as
representative designated for the territory of the State and of
people assigned to the treatment or in charge of it.
You will furthermore have the right to obtain: a) updating,
rectification or, if interested, integration of the data; b)
cancellation, transformation in anonimous form or block of the data
treated in violation of the law, including the ones for which
conservation in relation to the purpose for collection or
subsequent treatment; c) the declaration that the contents of the
operations of which at preceding letters a) and b) was also
communicated to the parties to whom such data were disclosed except
for the case where such communication would prove to be impossible
or required the application of an excessive number of means in
proportion to the right to be protected.
Still, in compliance with the minimum security measures, your data may also be communicated to public security subjects as well as to other public or private subjects in order to fulfil all fiscal, administrative, financial and similar obligations required by law. The data cannot in any way be publicized.
Finally you will have the right for legitimate motivations to file opposition in total or in part: a) to the treatment of your personal data even if pertinent to the collection thereof; b) to the treatment of your personal data to be used for mailing of advertising material, for direct sale or for marketing surveys or commercial communications, by simply contacting the person in charge of the treatment, who can also supply on request the complete and updated list of all people responsible for the treatment.
